1 Samuel 17:38-40

My view from "The Chair" this morning (1 Samuel 17: 38-40). Up to this point, David had spent His years as a shepherd. He had learned to use the tools of his vocation with great skill. Now, he was facing the biggest battle yet and someone he respected was giving him what he believed he needed for this battle.

Proverbs 20:24

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Prov. 20:24). Every morning I determine to trust His untangled view. Life is a beautiful gift, even in the hard moments. Will you join me in declaring His ways are best and His timing for your life is impeccable?

1 Samuel 7:12

My view from "The Chair" this morning (1 Samuel 7:12). Hum... might need to get myself some stones or flags and record each time He has provided; rescued; and directed me so that when I am desperate again, I will see and remember.

Acts 17:25

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Acts 17:25). Wow! This was after they were beaten and thrown in prison. Could it be that even when we struggle internally, if we use our mouths to audibly proclaim who He is and His ways, then Satan gets squished and God gets to move mountains on His behalf? I think I'll use my voice today. How about you?

Proverbs 3:21-26

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Prov. 3:21-26). May we hold onto God with one hand and common sense with the other. May our ears be open to His whispers and our hearts be in line with His.

Matthew 7:1-2

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Matt7:1,2). Saw a movie this weekend that nailed this. If you're struggling with pain, anger, judging, or forgiving- go see "The Shack".

Psalm 17:6-7

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Psalm 17:6,7). Today, my you and I see all the wonderful ways He provided for and loves us.

Proverbs 15:22

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Prov 15:22). Who has He put ahead of you on this adventure called "life" that you should seek counsel from?

Proverbs 2:8

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Prov. 2:8). I am one lucky girl. May you see just how much He loves and protects you today.

Jeremiah 1:6-9

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Jeremiah 1:6-9). He has called you and me, by name. He will put His words in our heart and mind. Your story is one of redemption, who is He asking you to be brave and share it with?

Psalms 143:8

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Ps. 143:8). This morning, as I laid in the silence of my bed, it seems that even the chickadees and hummingbirds were declaring His unfailing love. Love that He uses His creation to proclaim His love.

Psalms 92:4

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Psalms 92:4). This morning as I paused to count all He has done for me, I quickly lost track. What are some of the things He has done for you in the last seven days?

1 Timothy 6:6-8

My view from "The Chair" this morning ( 1 Timothy 6:6-8). Last night I had the privilege of being with one who was changing locations in a few hours. As we placed her hand in her Father's hand and asked for a peace-filled departure, I realized the enormity of this verse. May I not have spiritual amnesia as I continue on this adventure called "life".

Psalm 90:12

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Psalms 90:12). Oh that I may not be a "Time Optimist" . May I live with one ear listening to His whisper and directions for my hands and feet and the other ear hearing the cries of those who need help.

Acts 4:32

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Acts 4:32). I think sometimes I make this bigger and harder than it is. When God puts a need right in front of me and I hear His whisper that says, "Use what I've given you to help meet this need." May I be quick to open my hand. Reality check: NONE of what I have really belongs to me anyway. I'm just a sojourner passing through this life.

Psalm 27:13

My view from "The Chair" this Morning (psalms 27:13). I love that this starts with the word "yet"! This is a definitive statement of trust. Today, I will stand and proclaim the goodness of God regardless of what I see in the physical.
