1 Samuel 17:38-40
My view from "The Chair" this morning (1 Samuel 17: 38-40). Up to this point, David had spent His years as a shepherd. He had learned to use the tools of his vocation with great skill. Now, he was facing the biggest battle yet and someone he respected was giving him what he believed he needed for this battle. David was smart and realized that what appeared as a gift could be his demise. So, he trusted God and how God had specifically equipped and prepared him. He knew though that ultimately the defeat of Goliath was in God's hands not his equipment or skill. Where you are at today is equipping you for what you will face and where you are going. Can you trust His untangled view?
