1 Peter 2:11

My view from "The Chair" this morning (1 Peter 2:11). Maybe today I will ink these words on my wrist "Just passing through" to help me remember. None of this "stuff" is going with me. Therefore, I can generously pour out everything onto and into those He puts in front of me. There is no backup plan. His plan to reach this world is US! Let's lavishly pour out His love and our entrusted resources. Just a little secret, I've discovered - when I pour out, it squashes my desires for the temporary stuff this world tries to entice me with.

Matthew 5:3

My view from"The Chair" this morning (Matt. 5:3). Sadly, unfortunately sometimes my view is through the hole in the log that I don't even realized has lodged in my eye. I'm so grateful for friends and a mentor who help me with the removal process. How's your vision this morning?

Psalm 27:14

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Psalm 27:14). What do I do when the plans and timing I thought He put in place, seem to be hijacked? This is what I've been asking this week? Seems I have my answer. Anyone else ever face this? Here is what I know - He has an untangled view and He is faithful! So, I will trust (even though I'm disappointed and wait).

Matthew 6:30

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Matt.6:30). Sometimes, in the holy and beautiful mess of our life, it is so difficult to trust His untangled view. Lord, help us believe that your plans are perfect and your timing is impeccable, both in celebrations and loss.

Joshua 5:15

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Joshua 5:15). If God asked you to "Take off your shoes" this morning, would you? I LOVE the last line! There was no hesitation on Joshua's part. It was pure and immediate obedience. What is s He asking you to do today that you just need to say, "YES".

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

My view from "The Chair" this morning (2 Corinthians 1:3,4). I don't want to waste my story of God's love, grace, mercy, healing, forgiveness, and journey to wholeness. These are priceless gifts I can extend to others as we all journey through this life. Would you Consider using what you've been freely given to comfort and help others?

Psalm 77:11

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Psalms 77:11). God, help me to not only remember what you have done for me in my life, but also your faithfulness to the generations before me.

Matthew 16:7-10

My view from " The Chair" this morning (Matt. 16:7-10). Key phrase here: "Don't you remember". I think in the mist of mess and crisis, I have a propensity to forget how God has been faithful in the past. Anyone else? Maybe that's why we need to write down or create markers to help us "remember".

Joshua 1:5

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Joshua 1:5). Pondering this, I have to ask myself, "What am I dragging my feet on that He has asked me to put my hands and feet to?" How about you? Since He is with us and He has asked, I can trust that He will not abandon us. Let's Leap!

Psalm 147:4

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Ps. 147:4). If my God can keep track of each star in the galaxy and knows their name, as well as, their precise physical makeup. How much more does He know each of us. His untangled view of us and whatever we are facing today does not escape Him. He is our Creator and Father. Maybe He would like to hear from you today?

James 1:22

My view from "The Chair" this morning (James 1:22). What is He prompting you to do that you are making excuses to not do?

Mark 2:27

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Mark 2:27). Having a "Sabbath" is a gift to us from our Creator. It is NOT a requirement, but a GIFT. Some celebrate the Sabbath from Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown; others on our current Sunday. The point of the Sabbath is to rest and spend time with Jesus. When is your Sabbath?

Psalm 104:33

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Psalms 104:33). He loves to hear my voice (and yours) singing to Him. Did you know He longs to hear your out loud voice? When you use your "out loud" voice, it breaks invisible chains and sets you free.

Philippians 1:12

My view from "The Chair" this morning (Philippians 1:12). Paul wrote this from his prison cell. How much more should I use my life and freedom to share His scandalous grace and forgiveness. This could turn the world upside down. Who's with me?
