Ephesians 2:8,9

Ephesians 2:8,9

My view from "The Chair" this morning - Ephesians 2:8,9.    Which do we really believe?  God + Works = Salvation  OR  God + Nothing = Salvation .  We live in a"work" equals "reward" world.  These kind of "rewards" are based on a system of "earning" something for what we do.  I haven't meant to, but sometimes I've let my thoughts slip into thinking of my salvation this same way.  Do good things + Be nice + Follow all Christian rules = Salvation.  This morning as I was meditating on this verse, it struck me at how easily I say I believe this, but how often I can get caught up in a worldly view of my salvation.  Here's the truth:  Salvation = Gift  There is no earning this gift.  You and I can't take credit for this gift.  He freely, of His own grace-filled will, extends this to us when we believe.  Wowzee!!!  #bestgiftever  Have you let your thoughts slide over to this worldly view of His gift?  If so, I would encourage you to pause and re-adjust your thinking.  Until We Chat Again, Crystal - The Plank-Eyed Girl
